Yuko Mori
Yuko Mori, having taught at the Conservatoire National Supèrieur de Musique de Lyon as their Associate Professor between 1989-1996, she held the position of Professor at the Chicago College of Performing Arts of Roosevelt University. Since 1988, she is the music director of the "Kyoto Academy of French Music" where many distinguished French teachers and musicians are invited to work together every year. Based on her long and many experiences as an orchestra player between 1977-1987 (with L'Orchestre de Chambre Jean-François Paillard, La Grande Virtuoses Ecurie et la Chambre du Roy, and Nouvel Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France) she has founded the "Nagaokakyo Chamber Ensemble" in 1997, and has managed to build it to a level of international calibre. In January 2003, Nagaokakyo Chamber Ensemble were invited to perform at the well known music festival in Nantes, France "La Folle Journèe".
Yuko Mori's devotion to spreading of the Musical Arts based on the French Music Tradition, as well as the anticipation to further developments in this area, have led the cause to the presentation of the distinguished award 'Officier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres'.
