Ara Cinar

Born in Istanbul in 1947, Ara CINAR is from Armenian origin with an Austrian culture: Saint-George College in Istanbul and University in Vienna – Austria with MBA degree for Economic and Marketing. Professional life start immediately after 1970 by BERTELSMANN in Austria. In 1976; he was nominated Vice-President Marketing for the Group FRANCE-LOISIRS (currently the biggest Club worldwide with 4 millions members) at time, with less than 700.000 members. In this position, he developed all the Direct Marketing activity of FRANCE-LOISIRS in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Canada and starting the diversification of the Group in addition of books and multimedia. In 1997, he was promoted as Executive Senior Vice-President Marketing for the Book Clubs Worldwide. Now, his main activity is the development and diversification of FRANCE-LOISIRS in financial/Insurance, photo finishing, magazines subscriptions businesses and is President of VOYAGES-LOISIRS (Number One of Direct selling of vacation rental in France) with activities in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands and he is member of Executive Board of the Group FRANCE-LOISIRS and Coordinator of all new businesses by BERTELSMANN. Ara CINAR had since many years very active position in the different associations for Direct Marketing (6 years Board Member of DMA-USA) and FEDMA (latest position as Chairman).
